Well, after an unfortunate exchange in another group, it seemed time to "put up or shut up." Hence this group. Black and white photography has always been an interest of mine, and I've noticed that many others here seem to feel the same way. There are other B&W groups on dA, of course, but I think that there's room for at least one more. Here's to seeing what the future holds!

Submission Guidelines Draft
Here's a draft of the group's submission guidelines. I could sure use your feedback and suggestions for improving them.
Preliminary Submission Guidelines (2/19/10):
1. Only black and white photography will be accepted.
2. Images must conform to dA's photography policies (min. 400 pixels on the shortest side, "mature" label if required, etc.).
3. Any dA-permitted subject matter may be submitted. Mature content must be labeled as such.
4. Unless there is some compelling reason not to accept them, works that meet these criteria will be added to the Group gallery.
5. Members are invited to submit.
